Last updated: 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Crypcons collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Crypcons you agree to the practices described here.
Data we collect
- Account data: your email address and login identifiers, handled through our authentication provider.
- Profile data: the display name, bio, skills, rates, portfolio, company name, and avatar you choose to add.
- Verification (KYC) data: a short recorded video and the results of automated identity/verification checks.
- Content: job posts, proposals, and chat messages (including attachments) you create.
- Usage data: basic technical information such as IP address and device/browser data used to operate and secure the Service.
How we use it
- to provide the marketplace: accounts, profiles, job listings, proposals, and chat;
- to verify freelancer identity before assignment (KYC);
- to moderate content and keep the platform safe;
- to send service and notification emails (which you can opt out of);
- to maintain security, prevent abuse, and comply with law.
Service providers
We use trusted third parties to run the Service, including a cloud identity provider for authentication, cloud infrastructure and storage, automated media/identity analysis for KYC, an email delivery service, and a content delivery/hosting network. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments.
Legal basis and retention
We process data to provide the Service you request, to pursue our legitimate interest in operating a safe marketplace, and to meet legal obligations. We keep personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, resolve disputes, and comply with legal requirements, then delete or anonymise it.
Sharing
Parts of your profile (for example display name, skills, and avatar) are public so clients can find you. We do not sell your personal data. We may disclose data if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Crypcons and its users.
Cookies
We use essential cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in and to operate the Service. See our Cookie Policy for details.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can edit much of your data in your profile, and you can request access or deletion through our contact form.
Children
The Service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
International transfers
Our providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
Changes
We may update this Policy; material changes will be reflected by updating the date above.
